LURE METHODOLOGY

LURE Model (Learn, Unlearn, Relearn and Empower) which is a growth process similar to Professor David Kolb’s Learning cycle and named after Toffler’s quote. The LURE Model is based on Intentional Change Theory (ICT) and Self-Determination Theory (SDT)

WHAT IS LEARN?

The first step is Learning about you. The coaching journey begins with self discovery of the Ideal Self and thereafter the Real Self. Undergoing this process will create a strong sense of self: this is WHO I AM and WHO I WANT TO BE. The awareness created about the two selves, will spark a desire to merge the Real and Ideal self and lay the fertile soil for change and growth.

WHAT IS UNLEARN?

The next step is of discomfort and struggle but knowing that true change and growth begins with stepping out of the comfort zones we have succumb to. This part of the journey begins by finding the things that do not SERVE YOU and unlearning them by formulating new strategies. Next is unleashing inner strength, potential, energy by reframing the things that do not serve you to focus on EMPOWERING YOU.

The next step’s central premise is changing and adapting, but remaining cognizant that this is a journey and not a destination.

WHAT IS EMPOWER?

Empower is a tool for designing, creating, and assigning standards-based curriculum for students. It is meant to be a supplemental instructional tool for learners and professional development facilitators.
